Blaupunkt 40 Cyber Sound G2 Full HD TV, 48W Sound, ₹13,999

Want a 40-inch Full HD TV with sound loud enough to skip a soundbar? The Blaupunkt 40 Cyber Sound G2 (model 40CSG7112) was ₹13,999 on amazon.in when we checked (MRP ₹23,999) and has 48W speakers with Dolby Digital Plus. It has 3.5★ from 835 ratings, the lowest rating in this list. It ranks #6 in our Best Smart TVs Under ₹15,000 list with an overall score of 6.6/10.

WHO IT'S FOR

A mid-size living room where you want a bigger Full HD screen and strong built-in sound, and where you are fine with a basic Android TV interface. It is a 2024 model.

PICTURE QUALITY

A 40-inch Full HD LED panel (not QLED) with a listed 4000:1 contrast and HDR support. The A+ images on the listing talk about "QLED Odyssey", which belongs to a different Blaupunkt range, not this TV. Score: 6.5/10.

RESOLUTION AND HDR

Full HD (1920 × 1080). Amazon's table has a glitch ("HDR Format Supported: IPS … 65 inches"), so HDR support is unclear; FoneArena's launch report lists HDR10+ decoding for the Cyber Sound G2 range. Score: 8.0/10.

BRIGHTNESS

Listed at 400 nits by Amazon and GadgetsNow. Brightness figures at this price are the seller's own claims, not measurements, so treat them as a rough guide. Score: 7.0/10.

REFRESH RATE AND GAMING

60Hz, 10ms response time. No ALLM listed for this model. Score: 5.5/10.

PROCESSOR AND SMOOTHNESS

1GB RAM and 8GB storage on a quad-core Cortex-A53 chip, per Smartprix and FoneArena. Menus will be slower than on the 1.5GB and 2GB TVs. Score: 5.0/10.

SMART OS AND APPS

The title says "Google TV", but the bullets and FoneArena's launch report say Android TV 11. Expect the older Android TV interface with the Play Store, Netflix built in, Chromecast and hands-free voice control. Score: 6.0/10.

SOUND OUTPUT

48W from two 24W box speakers with Dolby Digital Plus and DTS TruSurround, the joint loudest here. This is the reason to buy it. Score: 9.0/10.

PORTS AND CONNECTIVITY

3 HDMI (with eARC), 2 USB, dual-band Wi-Fi, Ethernet and Bluetooth. Score: 8.5/10.

DESIGN AND BEZELS

5.2kg, 11cm deep, 200 × 200mm wall-mount pattern. The listing also contains data errors (it lists the size class as 65 inches), which does not inspire confidence. Score: 5.5/10.

WARRANTY AND SERVICE

1 year from Blaupunkt's Indian licensee (SPPL). Listed energy use is 49 kWh a year (3 star). Score: 6.0/10.

TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS

Switch the sound mode to Standard or Speech for news; Music mode can be boomy. Clear unused apps to help the 1GB RAM. Ask the seller whether a table stand and wall mount are included, because the Amazon box list only mentions the TV, remote and manual.

WHAT'S IN THE BOX

• •Amazon lists the TV, a remote and a manual. GadgetsNow also lists a table stand and wall mount, so confirm with the seller.

HOW IT COMPARES AT THIS PRICE

The VW 40 Spectra (₹12,999) has a QLED panel and an 18-month warranty for ₹1,000 less, but half the sound. The TCL 40L4B (₹14,990) has a better-known brand but weaker sound and only 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. The VW 43 Spectra gives you 3 more inches for ₹1,000 extra.

VALUE FOR MONEY

Big sound and good ports, held back by the low rating and listing mess. Score: 5.5/10.

VERDICT

The Blaupunkt 40 Cyber Sound G2 is the sound pick among the 40-inch TVs. Buy it if loud audio matters most. If you care more about reliability, look at the TCL 40 or the VW 43.
