Top 10 under your budget

Shopping for a phone, earbuds or a laptop on a fixed budget usually means opening twenty Amazon tabs and comparing spec sheets that all claim to be "best in segment". Our Top 10 lists do that work for one category and one price cap at a time, such as phones under ₹15,000 or earbuds under ₹1,000, so you only compare products you can actually afford.

How a list is built. We start from products currently sold on Amazon.in at or under the budget, drop listings that are out of stock or have very few buyer ratings, and keep ten that cover the main brands and use-cases. Every product is then scored from 0 to 10 on the parameters that matter for that category. For phones that means processor, RAM and storage, display, cameras, battery and charging, software-update policy and build. For earbuds it means battery life, call quality features, latency, codecs and water resistance. Each score is relative to the other nine products in the same budget, and the overall score is a weighted mix of those parameters plus value for money.

What the scores are and are not. Scores come from manufacturer specifications and listing details, compared side by side. They are not lab measurements, and we do not test products hands-on. Amazon star ratings shown next to each product are customer ratings, kept separate from our score. Brands cannot pay for a place on a list or a better score. You can read the full method on our How we score page.

Keeping lists current. Prices and availability change daily, so each list shows the date it was last updated, and we re-check prices regularly. When a product goes out of stock or a better option appears in the same budget, the list is updated. Each product also links to its own detailed review, and you can put up to four products side by side with the Compare button.

New lists are added twice a day, following what people in India search for most. Can't find your category or budget yet? Tell us on the contact page and we'll add it to the queue.
