HAMMER Drop X1 5W Bluetooth Speaker, 32-Hour Battery, ₹579

Tired of charging your speaker every day? The HAMMER Drop X1 claims up to 32 hours of playback, by far the longest in our list, for just ₹579 on amazon.in (MRP ₹3,499). It has 4.2★ from 633 ratings, an Amazon's Choice badge and 1K+ bought in the past month. It ranks #7 in our Best Bluetooth Speakers Under ₹1,000 list with an overall score of 6.3/10. It is the battery champion, but only a 5W speaker with a 6-month warranty.

WHO IT'S FOR

People who want background music, devotional songs, podcasts or radio running for hours at home or in a shop, without worrying about charging. Also a good cheap gift.

SOUND AND BASS

HAMMER (an Indian brand) uses a single 52mm driver. It is a mono speaker; the "stereo" in Amazon's table only applies when you pair two. Expect clear voices and modest bass: 5.0/10 for sound and 5.0/10 for bass.

LOUDNESS

5W is enough for a room, not for outdoors: 4.0/10.

BATTERY

HAMMER claims up to 32 hours from a 1200mAh battery, with Type-C charging. That number is likely measured at low volume, so real use at medium volume will be shorter, but it is still the longest claim here: 10.0/10.

CONNECTIVITY

The listing says Bluetooth 6.0 (some older HAMMER material for the Drop model says 5.3), plus TF/microSD card and USB playback, and the description mentions FM radio. There is no AUX input. TWS / twin pairing links two units. It also auto-reconnects to the last phone. Score: 7.5/10.

WATER RESISTANCE AND BUILD

Amazon says "Is Waterproof: False", so keep it dry: 3.0/10. It weighs about 260g and measures about 10.5 x 8.2 x 5.1cm, easy to carry: 8.5/10. It is made in India, but the warranty is only 6 months, so build and support score 5.0/10.

FEATURES

• •Built-in mic for calls, TWS, FM and card/USB play. No lights or app. Score: 7.0/10.

TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS

Use a microSD card with your songs or the FM mode for all-day music without draining your phone. Keep the volume around half to get close to the long battery claim. Register the purchase date somewhere safe, as the warranty is only 6 months.

6-month warranty

Only 633 ratings; Bluetooth version listed differently in older material

WHAT'S IN THE BOX

• •The speaker, a charging cable and documents including a warranty card, per HAMMER's listings.

WHO SHOULD SKIP IT

Skip it if you want room-filling sound for a group, if it will sit near a kitchen sink or in a bathroom, or if you want to connect a TV or laptop with an AUX cable. A 5W mono speaker is best for background music and talk.

BEFORE YOU BUY

The Drop X1 comes in several colours (green, beige and more) with the same rating pool. The 32-hour figure is a brand claim, likely at low volume; at medium volume, plan for less. Keep the invoice safe, as a 6-month warranty passes quickly.

HOW IT COMPARES AT THIS PRICE

The ZEBRONICS County 8 (₹544) is a little cheaper with 8W, a passive radiator and a 1-year warranty, but only 7 hours of battery. The Mivi Play (₹699) has IPX4 and AUX with a 1-year warranty, but 12 hours of battery.

VALUE FOR MONEY

A lot of battery and inputs for under ₹600: 8.0/10.

VERDICT

The HAMMER Drop X1 is the best long-battery Bluetooth speaker under ₹1,000. Buy it for all-day background music at home. Skip it if you want loud sound, water resistance or a longer warranty. Check the live price first.
