WHO IT'S FOR

Families of three or four in hard-water cities who plan to keep a machine for ten years and want peace of mind on repairs. It also suits homes with weak taps, since IFB says it fills from as little as 0.3 bar.

7 kg, which IFB rates for 3–4 people. Enough for a daily family load; the 8 kg Samsung and Bosch hold more. Score: 6.5/10.

• •MRP: Amazon shows ₹26,490, but IFB's own website shows an MRP of ₹21,288, so the "discount" looks bigger than it is.
