Like the look of Nothing phones but don't want flagship prices? The Nothing Phone (3a) Lite brings Nothing's clean design and software, a 6.77-inch flexible AMOLED screen, a 50MP main camera with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide, plus the new Glyph Light for notifications. The 8GB/128GB version is listed at ₹28,999 on Amazon (MRP ₹29,999), carries the Amazon's Choice badge and is rated 4.2★ from 210 buyers. It is the #10 pick in our Best Phones Under ₹30,000 list.
WHO IT'S FOR
This phone suits people who want a stylish, clean, ad-free Android experience with a good AMOLED screen and a steady main camera. It is a good fit for light-to-moderate users, students and anyone who values design and software over raw battery size.
DESIGN AND BUILD
Nothing quotes 199 grams and 8.3mm thickness, with Panda Glass on both the front and back (per Gadgets 360). The signature Glyph Interface is replaced by a smaller Glyph Light for alerts. Water protection is basic: IP54, which covers dust and splashes only. Amazon's table says "Not Water Resistant" and lists the weight as 0.35kg; both look like listing errors compared with Nothing's specs.
DISPLAY
The 6.77-inch FHD+ flexible AMOLED (1080 x 2392) runs at 120Hz, with up to 3,000 nits peak HDR brightness and 2,160Hz PWM dimming, which can be easier on the eyes in low light for some people. It is a good screen with deep blacks and rich colours, clearly better than the LCD panels on several phones here, though not as sharp as the 1.5K screens on the Motorola Edge phones and realme P4 Power.
PERFORMANCE
The MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro handles daily use, social media and casual games smoothly. It is a step behind the Dimensity 7400 and Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chips in this list. You get 8GB RAM (Amazon's table wrongly says "128 GB RAM") and 128GB storage, expandable up to 2TB with a microSD card (per launch coverage).
CAMERAS
The rear has a 50MP main camera with OIS and EIS, an 8MP ultra-wide (119.5°) and a third macro sensor. Video goes up to 4K at 30fps, with 1080p slow motion at 120fps. The front camera is 16MP. OIS gives it an edge in low light over phones without it, like the vivo T5x and iQOO Z11xa, but the CMF Phone 2 Pro's telephoto lens is more versatile.
BATTERY AND CHARGING
The 5,000mAh battery is joint-smallest in this list. Expect a full day with normal use. 33W charging is slow by current standards, and no charger is included in the box (per launch coverage; Amazon's box contents list only a USB cable). There is 5W reverse wired charging for small accessories.
SOFTWARE AND UPDATES
It launched with Nothing OS 3.5 on Android 15, which is clean, smooth and free of bloatware. Nothing promises 3 major Android upgrades and 6 years of security updates, among the better promises here.

Dimensity 7300 Pro trails 7400-class rivals
Launched at ₹20,999 in November 2025; at ₹28,999 it is about ₹8,000 above launch
Amazon's spec table has several errors (RAM, water resistance, weight, camera count)
HOW IT COMPARES AT THIS PRICE
The CMF Phone 2 Pro at ₹28,998 has the same chip and battery, adds a 50MP telephoto and includes a charger, but lacks OIS. The Redmi Note 15 5G at ₹28,999 brings a 108MP OIS camera, stereo speakers, a charger in the box and longer updates. The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion at ₹28,749 is the stronger all-rounder.
WHO SHOULD SKIP IT
Skip it if you need long battery life, loud stereo sound, water protection, or the best value for money.
VALUE FOR MONEY
The design, screen and software are lovely, but at ₹28,999 you are paying much more than the launch price for a phone with a small battery, slow charging and no charger. That is why it ranks last here, even though it is a good phone. At its launch price it would be a much easier pick.
VERDICT
Buy the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite if you value clean software, design and an AMOLED screen with an OIS camera. Otherwise, wait for a price drop; several phones in this list give you more for the same money.
