realme Buds T200x, 25dB ANC and 48H Playback, ₹1,789

Real active noise cancellation used to cost ₹2,500 or more. The realme Buds T200x brings it down to ₹1,789 (MRP ₹2,499), with 25dB ANC, 12.4mm bass drivers, IP55 water resistance and a 45ms gaming mode. It carries the Amazon's Choice badge and a 4.1★ average, and it is the #3 pick in our Best Earbuds Under ₹2,000 list, the cheapest pair here with real ANC.

WHO IT'S FOR

The T200x is for students and first-time buyers who want ANC for bus rides, hostel rooms or a noisy home, but do not want to spend ₹1,900 or more. It also suits casual mobile gamers thanks to the 45ms mode, and people who switch between a phone and a laptop, since it supports dual-device connection.

DESIGN AND FIT

It is a light in-ear design with silicone tips (realme includes extra tips in the box, per retail listings). The IP55 rating means it is protected against dust and water jets, so sweat, rain and gym sessions are fine. Only the realme T310 and OnePlus Nord Buds 3r match that rating in our list; several rivals are IPX4 or IPX5. Touch controls handle playback, calls and switching between ANC, transparency and off.

SOUND

The 12.4mm dynamic bass drivers are among the biggest in the list (only the 13mm GOBOULT and Blaupunkt are larger), and realme says they are 24% bigger than the previous model. Expect a bass-forward sound that suits Bollywood, hip-hop and EDM. It supports SBC and AAC codecs, and the realme Link app gives you EQ modes if you want to tune it.

NOISE CANCELLATION

ANC is rated up to 25dB. In simple words, it will take the edge off fan noise, AC hum and bus engines, but it will not create the "silence" that stronger 46–48dB models like the realme T310 or boAt Prime 702 ANC can. There is also a transparency mode so you can hear announcements without removing the buds. For ₹1,789, this is a fair entry into ANC, not the best ANC in the list.

CALL QUALITY

realme uses quad-mic AI Deep Call Noise Cancellation. Four mics is a good count at this price; only the six-mic T310 and Prime 702 have more. Expect clear calls indoors and acceptable calls on the road.

BATTERY

realme quotes 48 hours total with ANC off (7 hours per charge), but that drops to 30 hours total with ANC on (5 hours per charge). Ten minutes of charging gives about 5 hours of playback, and a full charge takes about 2 hours over USB-C. It is good, not class-leading: the Nirvana Ion ANC and Blaupunkt BTW300 last much longer.

GAMING AND CONNECTIVITY

Bluetooth 5.4, dual-device connection and Google Fast Pair on Android cover the basics well. The 45ms game mode is among the lowest listed latencies here, matching the T310, T200 Lite, GOBOULT Mustang Torq and boAt Prime 800D.

APP AND FEATURES

• •The realme Link app handles EQ, touch-control customisation, game mode, dual-device settings and firmware updates. There is no wear detection or spatial audio listed, which the costlier T310 adds.

HOW IT COMPARES AT THIS PRICE

For ₹300 more, the realme Buds T310 gives you much stronger 46dB hybrid ANC, six mics and spatial audio, but a shorter battery. The realme Buds T200 Lite at ₹1,400 drops ANC completely and has only IPX4. The boAt Airdopes Prime 800D at ₹1,399 has newer Bluetooth 6.1 and Dolby Audio, but no ANC.

WHO SHOULD SKIP IT

Skip it if you need strong ANC for flights or loud offices; spend a little more on the T310 or Prime 702. Skip it too if battery life is your top priority with ANC on.

VALUE FOR MONEY

At ₹1,789, the T200x is the cheapest way in our list to get real ANC, IP55 and a 45ms game mode together, from a brand with good service reach in India. That is strong value.

VERDICT

Buy the realme Buds T200x if you want real ANC, IP55 and low-latency gaming for about ₹1,600. Skip it if you need heavy-duty noise cancellation. Check the live Amazon price before you buy.
