VW 43 Spectra VW43AQ3 Full HD QLED Smart TV, ₹14,999

Want the biggest screen you can get for under ₹15,000? The VW 43 Spectra Series Full HD QLED Android TV (model VW43AQ3) gives you 43 inches of Full HD for ₹14,999 on amazon.in (MRP ₹29,999). Its listing shows 3.8★ from 16,872 ratings and 5K+ bought in the past month, but those ratings are pooled across all Spectra sizes (32, 40 and 43 inch). It ranks #5 in our Best Smart TVs Under ₹15,000 list with an overall score of 6.7/10.

WHO IT'S FOR

A living room where the sofa is 6 to 9 feet away and screen size matters more than brand or polish. This is the only 43-inch Full HD smart TV we found in stock at ₹15,000 or less.

PICTURE QUALITY

A QLED panel with VW's IPE technology, "Quantum Lucent" processing and a 178° viewing angle. Contrast is listed as 100000:1, which is a dynamic figure that cannot be compared with the native contrast other brands quote. Score: 7.0/10.

RESOLUTION AND HDR

Full HD (1920 × 1080) with HDR10. At 43 inches, Full HD is a big step up over the HD Ready 32-inch TVs, especially for cricket scores and text. Score: 8.5/10.

BRIGHTNESS

A listed 350 nits, above average here. Brightness figures at this price are the seller's own claims, not measurements, so treat them as a rough guide. Score: 7.0/10.

REFRESH RATE AND GAMING

60Hz, 7ms. The bullets mention one HDMI 2.1 port, but no ALLM or VRR is listed, so there is no real gaming advantage. Score: 5.5/10.

PROCESSOR AND SMOOTHNESS

A quad-core processor with 4GB storage. VW does not publish the RAM. With only 4GB of storage you can install a handful of apps at most. Score: 4.5/10.

SMART OS AND APPS

Listed as Android TV, and Smartprix shows the Google Play Store. But one Amazon bullet lists only Prime Video, YouTube, Zee5, Plex, YuppTV and Eros Now, while other parts of the same listing add Netflix and JioHotstar. Check that Netflix works before the return window ends. Software update support is listed as "unknown". Score: 6.0/10.

SOUND OUTPUT

24W stereo box speakers with five sound modes. No Dolby processing is listed. Score: 6.0/10.

PORTS AND CONNECTIVITY

The bullets list 3 HDMI (2 × 2.0 + 1 × 2.1) and 2 USB 2.0, plus Ethernet and Wi-Fi. One version of Amazon's table says 2 HDMI. Score: 6.5/10.

DESIGN AND BEZELS

About 9kg with two stand legs. Annual energy use is listed at 96 kWh, the highest here, which is about ₹770 a year at ₹8 a unit. Score: 6.0/10.

WARRANTY AND SERVICE

18 months from VW, longer than the usual 1 year. Service is booked through VW's toll-free number with your invoice. Score: 7.5/10.

TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS

Sit at least 6 feet back. Open Netflix and your main apps on the first day to confirm support. Use the 2.1 HDMI port for a console or streaming stick.

WHAT'S IN THE BOX

• •The TV, a remote, a power cord, a manual, two stand legs and four screws. No wall bracket.

HOW IT COMPARES AT THIS PRICE

The VW 40 Spectra (₹12,999) is the same TV in 40 inches for ₹2,000 less. The TCL 40L4B (₹14,990) is smaller but comes from a bigger brand with a proper Android TV setup. The Blaupunkt 40 Cyber Sound G2 (₹13,999) has 48W sound and 3 HDMI ports in a 40-inch Full HD screen.

VALUE FOR MONEY

Nothing else gives you 43 inches of Full HD at this price. Score: 9.0/10.

VERDICT

The VW43AQ3 is the screen-size pick under ₹15,000. Buy it if a big Full HD picture is the priority. If you care more about software and brand, choose a 32-inch Xiaomi or the TCL 40.
