Acer Aspire 3 Ryzen 5 7430U, 16GB RAM and 55Wh, ₹59,300

Want the best laptop under ₹60,000 with 16GB RAM and a battery that lasts? The Acer Aspire 3 (A325-42 / AS15-42) with an AMD Ryzen 5 7430U is listed on amazon.in at ₹59,300 (MRP ₹79,900), and it ticks more boxes than almost anything else at this price: a 6-core Ryzen 5, 16GB dual-channel RAM, a Full HD IPS screen, a backlit keyboard and the biggest battery in this list (55Wh). It ranks #2 in our Best Laptops Under ₹60,000 list with 6.8/10. Its Amazon rating is the weakest part: 3.7★ from 46 ratings. Details come from the Amazon listing and Acer India's own store page for this model (UN.35MSI.00R).

WHO IT'S FOR

Students and home or office users who keep 20+ Chrome tabs open, run Office and Zoom at the same time, and want a big 15.6-inch screen and long battery life more than a light bag.

PROCESSOR AND PERFORMANCE

The Ryzen 5 7430U has 6 cores and 12 threads, a 2.0GHz base and up to 4.5GHz boost (Acer's figure; Amazon's table says 4.3GHz), and 16MB L3 cache. It is a proven, efficient chip that handles multitasking, coding, Office and light photo editing comfortably. The built-in AMD Radeon graphics (Vega-class) benefit from the dual-channel memory here, so very light gaming and video playback are smooth, but this is not a gaming laptop.

RAM AND STORAGE

16GB DDR4, which Acer lists as dual-channel and upgradable to 32GB. That is the most comfortable memory setup in this list for long-term use. Storage is a 512GB PCIe Gen3 NVMe SSD (supports up to 1TB).

DISPLAY

A 15.6-inch Full HD IPS panel (Acer ComfyView, LED-backlit). IPS means wide viewing angles and better colours than TN screens. Acer does not publish brightness for this unit, so expect a typical budget panel: fine indoors, not great in sunlight.

BATTERY

55Wh with a 65W adapter; Acer quotes up to 8 hours. That is the largest battery among our ten picks, so it should last longer than the 36–41Wh laptops in real use.

BUILD, KEYBOARD AND PORTS

The trade-off is weight: 1.79kg and 19.3mm thick, the heaviest laptop here. The keyboard is backlit with a numeric keypad. Ports per Acer: 2x USB 3.0 Type-A, two USB Type-C plus a Type-C with DC-in, HDMI, a microSD reader and a headset jack. Wireless is Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1.

WEBCAM, WARRANTY AND SOFTWARE

720p webcam. Windows 11 Home; Acer's store mentions MS Office for its version but the Amazon listing says "Preinstalled Software: None", so do not count on Office. Warranty is 1 year, which Acer's store describes as carry-in.

LISTING NOTES

The Amazon page says "3 x Type C port" while Acer's store splits that into two Type-C plus one Type-C with DC-in, and the A+ content is copied from a different model (A324-53). Amazon's model field also says AS15-42 while the title says A325-42; Acer uses both names for this laptop. We scored the ports on Acer's description.

HOW IT COMPARES AT THIS PRICE

The Lenovo V14 G5 (Core i5-13420H) at ₹58,491 is faster under heavy load and lighter, but ships with 8GB and a weaker screen. The Acer TravelLite (same Ryzen 5 7430U, 16GB) at ₹59,800 is 450g lighter with a metal body, but its battery is much smaller.

VALUE FOR MONEY

16GB, a 6-core Ryzen 5, IPS, backlight and 55Wh for under ₹60,000 is a strong spec sheet; the lukewarm rating keeps us careful: 7.0/10.

VERDICT

The Acer Aspire 3 (Ryzen 5 7430U, 16GB) is the best all-rounder under ₹60,000 if you can live with the weight. It is the one we would pick for a student who wants long battery life and enough RAM for years. Check the price and seller before you order.
