Our Review Researched from product specs and verified buyer feedback

Want the most volume and inputs you can get under ₹2,500 without losing splash protection? The boAt Stone 510 is a 25W RMS speaker with IPX5 resistance, TWS, a built-in mic and USB, TF card and AUX inputs, listed at ₹2,299 on amazon.in (MRP ₹7,990). When we checked it had 4.1★ from 2,833 ratings, an Amazon's Choice badge and a #35 rank in Bluetooth Speakers, sold by Clicktech Retail and shipped by Amazon. It ranks #4 in our Best Bluetooth Speakers Under ₹3,000 list with an overall score of 7.3/10.

WHO IT'S FOR

People who want a loud speaker for the living room, terrace or small gatherings, who still play songs from a pen drive or memory card, and who want something that will survive a spilled drink or light rain.

SOUND AND BASS

boAt lists 25W RMS of "boAt Signature Sound". Its product page lists the drivers as 2 x 4-inch woofers and 2 x 1.5-inch tweeters, and Amazon calls it stereo. That driver list sounds large for a 24cm body, and the same boAt spec table also says "Output Power 120W", which is clearly an error, so we treat the driver details with caution. boAt's listing promises "rich low-end bass, crisp vocals", so expect a bass-led tuning that suits Bollywood and party music. Scores: 7.0/10 for sound and 7.5/10 for bass. We do not run lab tests, so sound and bass are judged from the hardware (drivers, passive radiators, stereo or mono), brand specs and Amazon ratings.

LOUDNESS

25W RMS puts it at the top of this list with the Portronics Harmony Mini, and pairing two units in TWS gives you 50W total. Score: 8.5/10.

BATTERY

boAt claims up to 8 hours of playtime and lists about 3 hours to charge over USB Type-C. Neither Amazon nor boAt gives the battery capacity. Eight hours is enough for an evening party, but less than half of what the Tribit XSound Go claims. Score: 6.0/10.

CONNECTIVITY

The best mix in this list: Bluetooth plus USB, TF card and AUX. boAt's product FAQ says Bluetooth 5.4, while the spec table on the same page says 5.3; either is current. Score: 8.5/10.

WATER RESISTANCE AND BUILD

boAt and the Amazon bullets list IPX5 splash and sweat resistance, although one Amazon spec row says "Is Waterproof: false". IPX5 means splashes and rain are fine; do not submerge it. It has an ergonomic carry handle, measures 24 x 9.6 x 10.7 cm and weighs 736g. Scores: 7.5/10 for water resistance, 5.5/10 for portability and 7.0/10 for build.

FEATURES

  • •TWS for 2x output, a built-in mic for hands-free calls, voice assistant support and RGB lights (listed on Smartprix's spec sheet and in the controls). No app or EQ. Score: 7.0/10.

TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS

Keep it at about 70–80% volume for parties; most speakers this size distort at full volume. Turn the lights off when you want more playtime. For TWS, pair two Stone 510 units only. Use the handle and do not carry it by the strap of a bag when it is wet.

WHAT'S IN THE BOX

  • •The speaker, a Type-C cable, a user manual and a warranty card, per boAt. Warranty is 1 year from boAt, and it is made in India (Noida). boAt's site also sells a matching silicone cover.

PROS

  • ✓25W RMS, joint-loudest single speaker here, 50W in TWS
  • ✓USB, TF card and AUX plus Bluetooth 5.3/5.4
  • ✓IPX5 splash resistance and a carry handle
  • ✓Built-in mic, voice assistant, TWS
  • ✓₹2,299, well under the ₹3,000 limit

CONS AND THINGS TO KNOW

  • ✗Only up to 8 hours of playtime; battery size not published
  • ✗boAt's own spec table has errors (120W, BT 5.3 vs 5.4)
  • ✗736g, not a pocket speaker
  • ✗Rating count is shared across the three colour listings

HOW IT COMPARES AT THIS PRICE

The Portronics Harmony Mini (₹2,499) also has 25W and adds EQ, but only 6 hours of battery and no IP rating. The boAt Stone Spinx Pro (₹2,499) costs more, has older Bluetooth 5.0 and only IPX4. If you care more about clean sound than volume, the Tribit StormBox Mini+ is cheaper and better tuned.

VALUE FOR MONEY

₹2,299 for 25W, every input and IPX5: 8.0/10.

VERDICT

The boAt Stone 510 is the best loud, all-input Bluetooth speaker under ₹3,000. Buy it for house parties, terraces and pen-drive playlists. Skip it if you need a long battery or a tiny travel speaker.
