IFB 6 kg DIVA GXN 6010 Front Load, 1000 RPM, ₹24,990

Want a front-load washing machine without crossing ₹25,000? The IFB DIVA GXN 6010 CMS is a 6 kg fully automatic front loader with a BLDC Eco Inverter motor, a 1000 RPM spin, an in-built heater with Power Steam and IFB's 4-year comprehensive warranty. It was ₹24,990 on amazon.in when we checked (MRP ₹34,490), with 4.4★ from 934 ratings, an Amazon's Choice badge and 2K+ bought in the past month. It ranks #1 in our Best Washing Machines Under ₹25,000 list with an overall score of 8.7/10.

WHO IT'S FOR

Couples and small families of two or three, especially homes with a baby or elders, people who wash a lot of delicate clothes, and anyone who wants clothes to come out much drier than a top loader can manage. It is the only front loader we found in stock under ₹25,000 with solid ratings.

CAPACITY

6 kg, which IFB rates for a family of 2–3. This is the smallest drum in this list. Daily clothes are fine, but a double blanket will be a tight fit, and a family of four or more will run extra loads. Score: 5.5/10.

WASH PROGRAMS

11 programs: Mix/Daily, Cotton, Synthetic, Baby Wear, Steam Refresh, Express 15', Bulky (bedding, curtains, duvet), Wool, Cradle Wash for delicates, Spin/Dry/Rinse and Tub Clean. IFB also lists 9 Swirl Wash (nine wash motions that copy hand washing), Warm Soak and a Time Saver option that cuts up to 45% of the time on lightly soiled loads. Score: 9.5/10.

ENERGY AND WATER

BEE 5-star, with water use listed at up to 8.3 L/kg/cycle, the lowest water figure in this list by a wide margin (top loaders here list 13–16 L/kg). IFB claims up to 40% energy savings and up to 50% water savings from the BLDC motor. The listed energy figure, 0.050 kWh/kg/cycle, is measured with water heating, so it cannot be compared directly with the top-load figures in this list. The spec table's "0.05 kWh per year" line is a listing error. Score: 9.0/10.

SPIN SPEED AND DRYING

1000 RPM, the fastest spin of any fully automatic machine here (the top loaders spin at 700–740 RPM). Clothes come out noticeably drier, which helps a lot during the monsoon. Score: 9.0/10.

MOTOR

A BLDC Eco Inverter motor that IFB calls "super silent", covered for 10 years. It adjusts its speed to the load, which saves power and reduces wear. Score: 9.0/10.

DRUM AND TUB

A stainless steel Crescent Moon drum: the grooved surface creates a thin cushion of water that protects fabrics, and the hole placement gives the scrubbing action. Front loaders tumble clothes instead of twisting them around a pulsator, which is gentler on fabric. Score: 9.0/10.

NOISE AND VIBRATION

IFB does not publish a dB figure. It lists Auto Imbalance Control, which detects an uneven load during the spin and corrects it to limit noise and shaking. A BLDC front loader is usually the quietest type in a wash, but a 1000 RPM spin will still be heard. Score: 8.5/10.

FEATURES

• •Power Steam runs a steam cycle before the wash (IFB claims it kills 99.99% of germs) and after the wash (to reduce wrinkles). Steam Refresh freshens clothes in about 30 minutes without water or detergent. You also get an in-built heater, Aqua Energie hard-water treatment, AI that detects fabric type and weight, Laundry Add to drop in a missed sock mid-cycle, Auto Tub Clean, Self Diagnosis, program memory backup and child lock. A protective rat mesh is in the box. Score: 9.5/10.

WARRANTY

4 years comprehensive, 10 years on the motor and 10 years of spare-parts support, the best cover in this list (shared with the two IFB top loaders). IFB says its helpline covers about 2,500+ cities. Score: 10.0/10.

THINGS TO CHECK BEFORE BUYING

At ₹24,990 it sits right at the ₹25,000 limit, so a small price rise pushes it over. A front loader needs low-foam front-load detergent, a level floor and space to open the door in front (it is 59.8 cm wide, 51.8 cm deep, 87.5 cm tall). Wash cycles are longer than on a top loader, so use Express 15' or Time Saver for light loads.

PROS

• ✓1000 RPM spin, the fastest of the fully automatic machines here

4 years comprehensive + 10 years motor + 10 years spares

In-built heater, Power Steam and Steam Refresh
Lowest water use listed: 8.3 L/kg/cycle
4.4★, joint-highest rating in this list

CONS AND THINGS TO KNOW

• ✗Smallest drum here: 6 kg, for 2–3 people
• ✗Price is right at the ₹25,000 limit
• ✗Needs front-load detergent and longer cycles
• ✗No published noise figure

HOW IT COMPARES AT THIS PRICE

For the same ₹24,990, the Samsung 10 kg WA80F10E2LTL top loader gives you a drum 4 kg bigger plus Wi-Fi, but spins at only 700 RPM and has a 2-year warranty. The IFB TL751MS2S (₹23,990) is a 7.5 kg top loader with steam and the same warranty, but no inverter motor and a 720 RPM spin.

VALUE FOR MONEY

A BLDC front loader with steam, a heater and a 4-year warranty for under ₹25,000 is strong value for a small family, but you pay for it with a small drum: 7.5/10.

VERDICT

The IFB DIVA GXN 6010 is the best washing machine under ₹25,000 on paper if 6 kg is enough for you. It washes more gently, uses far less water and spins clothes drier than any top loader here. If you need to wash for four or more people, pick an 8 kg top loader instead.
