IFB 8 kg TL801MG1 Top Load, 4-Year Warranty, ₹19,490

Want IFB's long warranty in a bigger 8 kg drum, for under ₹20,000? The IFB TL801MG1 is an 8 kg fully automatic top loader with IFB's DeepClean wash, 11 programs, Aqua Energie hard-water treatment and 4 years comprehensive + 10 years motor + 10 years spares cover. It was ₹19,490 on amazon.in when we checked (MRP ₹25,290), the joint-cheapest machine in this list with the Samsung WA80BG4441BG, with 4.4★ from 630 ratings and 2K+ bought in the past month. It ranks #6 in our Best Washing Machines Under ₹25,000 list with an overall score of 7.8/10.

WHO IT'S FOR

A family of three or four that wants a trouble-free top loader for years, cares more about warranty and wash quality than smart features, and lives in an area with hard water or weak water pressure.

CAPACITY

8 kg, which IFB rates for a family of 3–4. It has special programs for bulky items such as blankets and curtains. Score: 7.5/10.

WASH PROGRAMS

11 programs: Mix/Daily, Cotton, Express 30', Synthetic, Delicates, Saree, Bulky (blankets and curtains), Baby Wear, Uniform, Rinse + Spin and Tub Clean. A built-in Pre-Clean station lets you soak and treat stains before the wash starts. Score: 9.0/10.

ENERGY AND WATER

BEE 5-star, with energy listed as 0.0106 kWh per cycle (the inverter machines here list 0.0074–0.0085). No water figure is listed. The spec table's "220 Watts" for annual energy is a listing error. Score: 6.5/10.

SPIN SPEED AND DRYING

720 RPM, between Samsung's 700 and LG's 740. Score: 7.0/10.

MOTOR

The listing does not mention an inverter motor, unlike the LG and Samsung machines here. The motor is still covered for 10 years. Score: 6.0/10.

DRUM AND TUB

A stainless steel Crescent Moon drum: grooves create a cushion of water that lifts and cradles clothes to reduce friction. The Triadic Pulsator adds a three-way wash action. IFB claims DeepClean makes clothes last 30% longer. Score: 8.5/10.

NOISE AND VIBRATION

No dB figure. Without an inverter motor, expect it to be a little louder than the LG and Samsung machines. The soft-close door stops the lid from slamming. Score: 6.5/10.

FEATURES

• •AI that detects fabric type and load weight, Aqua Energie (treats hard water and helps prevent colour fading), ActivMix (pre-mixes detergent and water), low-pressure filling from 0.2 bar, a lint filter, Auto Tub Clean, Self Diagnosis and child lock. A rat mesh is in the box. There is no heater, steam or Wi-Fi. Score: 8.0/10.

WARRANTY

4 years comprehensive, 10 years on the motor and 10 years of spare-parts support, the best warranty in this list, shared with the other two IFB machines. Score: 10.0/10.

THINGS TO CHECK BEFORE BUYING

Amazon showed "Only 1 left in stock" when we checked, so stock or price can change fast. The machine is 54.3 cm wide, 57.5 cm deep and 94.6 cm tall.

HOW IT COMPARES AT THIS PRICE

The Samsung WA80BG4441BG costs the same ₹19,490 and adds an inverter motor and lower energy use, but has a 2-year warranty and fewer programs. For ₹4,500 more, the IFB TL751MS2S adds a heater with PowerSteam but holds only 7.5 kg.

VALUE FOR MONEY

The joint-lowest price in this list with the best warranty and the joint-highest rating is excellent value: 9.0/10.

VERDICT

The IFB TL801MG1 is the best-value washing machine under ₹25,000, and the one to buy for peace of mind. You save ₹1,000–5,500 compared with the other fully automatic picks here and get 4 years of cover. Choose an LG or Samsung instead if you want an inverter motor and lower power use.
