Logitech M235 Wireless Mouse, 12-Month Battery, ₹699

Ever had a cheap mouse die halfway through a deadline, or a cursor that skips across the screen every time you try to select one line of text? A mouse is the thing you touch more than anything else on your desk, so a dud gets old fast. The Logitech M235 is one of the most quietly popular fixes for that problem in India, and right now it sits at ₹699.

WHO IT'S FOR

This is for students, office workers and anyone working on a laptop who wants a simple, reliable wireless mouse without spending on extras they will never use. If you mostly browse, work in spreadsheets, write documents or attend online classes, it fits right in. It is not a gaming mouse and it is not loaded with extra buttons, and that is exactly the point.

DESIGN AND BUILD

The M235 has a compact, contoured shape with soft rubber grips on the sides, so it sits comfortably in the hand and doesn't slide around. At roughly 9 x 5 cm it is small enough to drop into a laptop bag. The shape is ambidextrous, so left-handed users can use it too. The USB Nano receiver is tiny, so you can leave it plugged into your laptop without worrying about it snagging.

KEY FEATURES IN REAL-WORLD TERMS

• •Battery life of up to 12 months: Logitech rates it for about a year on a single battery, which is included in the box. There is an On/Off switch to save power, a smart sleep mode when you are not using it, and an indicator light so a dying battery doesn't catch you off guard.
• •1000 DPI optical tracking: In plain words, the cursor moves smoothly and precisely on the surfaces most people actually use, which makes selecting text and dragging files easy.
• •Plug and play: It works with Windows, Mac and Chromebook laptops and PCs. Plug in the receiver and start working, with no software to install.
• •3-year limited hardware warranty: That is unusually long at this price and a big part of why people trust it.

PERFORMANCE AND WHAT BUYERS SAY

The numbers speak loudly here: 4.4 out of 5 from over 62,000 ratings, an Amazon's Choice badge and a spot in the top 40 of Amazon.in's Mice bestseller list. Common themes in customer reviews are that it connects instantly, tracks smoothly, feels comfortable for small and medium hands, and keeps going for months on one battery. Many buyers mention using it for years without trouble.

The complaints are fair and predictable. People with large hands find it a bit small for long sessions, and the clicks are normal clicks, not silent ones. A few buyers note it doesn't track well on glass or very glossy surfaces, which is common for optical mice.

HOW IT COMPARES

Around ₹500 to ₹800 you will find plenty of no-name wireless mice with flashy specs. Many of them come with short warranties and shaky receivers. The M235 skips the gimmicks and gives you a brand known for durable mice, a long battery life and three years of warranty cover. If you want quieter clicks, Logitech's silent models cost a little more. If you want Bluetooth with no dongle, expect to pay more as well.

VALUE FOR MONEY

At ₹699, you are paying for something that just works every day for years. Spread over that warranty period, it costs very little per month, and you avoid the frustration of replacing a cheap mouse every few months.

VERDICT

If you want a dependable, no-fuss wireless mouse for work or study, the Logitech M235 is one of the safest picks under ₹700. It isn't fancy, but tens of thousands of buyers back it up. Check the current price on Amazon and grab it while it's at this price.
