Want the most auto-cook menus in a solo microwave under ₹8,000? The Panasonic 25L Solo Microwave (model NN-ST310QBFG) has 85 auto-cook menus, 900W and a 25-litre cavity. It was ₹7,990 when we checked (MRP ₹9,900), with 4.2★ from 1,011 ratings, an Amazon's Choice badge and 1K+ bought in the past month. It ranks #5 in our Best Microwave Ovens Under ₹10,000 list with an overall score of 7.1/10.
WHO IT'S FOR
Families who want a big solo microwave with lots of one-touch recipes from a well-known brand, at a lower price than IFB's 25L.
SOLO, GRILL OR CONVECTION?
A solo microwave only uses microwaves: it reheats, defrosts, boils milk, makes tea and cooks simple dishes like dal, khichdi, poha and steamed vegetables. A grill microwave adds a heating element at the top, so it can also brown and crisp food such as paneer tikka, kebabs, toast and pizza. A convection microwave adds a fan and heater as well, so it can bake cakes and bread and roast like a small OTG. Under ₹10,000 most good options are solo, a few are grill, and convection models are rare. Buy for what you will really cook, not for the longest feature list.
WHAT SIZE DO YOU NEED?
As a rough guide, 20 litres suits one to three people and normal reheating, while 23–25 litres fits a full dinner plate or a bigger casserole more easily and suits a family of three to five. Check your counter space too: measure the width and depth, and leave a few centimetres free at the back and sides for ventilation.
CAPACITY
25 litres per the title and spec table. Outside size is 47.2 cm wide, 37.8 cm deep and 28 cm high, and it weighs 11.4 kg. Capacity scores 8.0/10; type scores 5.0/10 (solo).
POWER
900W microwave output, joint highest here. The number of power levels is not stated on the listing. Power scores 8.0/10.
AUTO-COOK MENUS AND CONTROLS
85 auto-cook menus, the most of any solo model in this list. Panasonic's images split them as 23 Chef Secrets, 15 snacks, 18 main course, 14 desserts and 15 soups. Controls are a touch keypad with digital display, plus auto reheat, auto defrost and a quick minute timer that adds time in one-minute steps. Menus score 9.5/10 and controls 8.0/10.
CLEANING
A one-touch vapor clean program loosens stains and smells. The cavity coating is not named. Cleaning scores 7.5/10.
SAFETY
The spec table lists a child lock. No overheating protection is mentioned. Safety scores 7.0/10.
ACCESSORIES
In the box: the oven, a glass tray, user manual and warranty card. Accessories score 5.0/10.
WARRANTY
1 year comprehensive on the product. There is no extra magnetron cover listed, unlike IFB (3 years), Midea (10 years) or SHARP (3 years in total). Warranty scores 5.0/10.
LISTING NOTES
One bullet says "Capacity: 20 ltr, suitable for bachelors and small families" and another says the oven "helps in grilling". Both look like text copied from Panasonic's smaller or grill models: the title, spec table and model number all say 25L solo, and we score it as a 25L solo. Made in Thailand, sold by Dawntech Electronics and shipped by Amazon; delivery was showing Monday, 2 November.
TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS
Try the Chef Secrets menu for Indian dishes first, then note any timing changes you prefer. Use the vapor clean after cooking anything with strong smells, such as fish or eggs.

HOW IT COMPARES AT THIS PRICE
The IFB 24L (₹8,490) costs ₹500 more but has a 3-year magnetron warranty, 10 power levels and better ratings. The Panasonic 20L (₹6,990) is ₹1,000 cheaper with 51 menus and 800W.
VALUE FOR MONEY
Big cavity, top power and the most menus for ₹7,990: 8.0/10. The short warranty holds it back.
VERDICT
The Panasonic 25L is the best big solo microwave under ₹8,000. If warranty matters more than menus, spend ₹500 more on the IFB 24L.
