IFB 7.5 kg TL751MS2S PowerSteam, In-Built Heater, ₹23,990

Want hot steam washing plus IFB's 4-year warranty in a top loader? The IFB TL751MS2S is a 7.5 kg fully automatic machine with PowerSteam at up to 60°C, an in-built heater, AI load sensing and 4 years comprehensive + 10 years motor + 10 years spares cover. It was ₹23,990 on amazon.in when we checked (MRP ₹29,530), with 4.0★ from 204 ratings. It ranks #9 in our Best Washing Machines Under ₹25,000 list with an overall score of 7.5/10.

WHO IT'S FOR

A family of three or four with babies, elders or allergy sufferers who want germ-killing hot washes, and buyers who value a long warranty more than an inverter motor. It also suits homes with hard water or erratic water pressure.

CAPACITY

7.5 kg, which IFB says is right for three to four people. It is smaller than the 8–10 kg top loaders here, so bulky blankets may need a load of their own. Score: 7.0/10.

WASH PROGRAMS

8+1 programs: Mix Daily, Cotton, Express 30', Delicates, Baby Wear, Stainfighter, Bulky, Anti Allergen and Tub Clean, with cycles starting from 30 minutes. The Anti Allergen and Baby Wear programs make the most of the steam and heater. Score: 9.0/10.

ENERGY AND WATER

BEE 5-star, with energy listed as 0.0106 kWh per cycle, higher than the inverter machines here (0.0074–0.0085). No water figure is listed. Heating water will add to the bill. Score: 6.5/10.

SPIN SPEED AND DRYING

720 RPM, which IFB says helps in monsoon and humid weather. Faster than Samsung's 700 RPM, slower than LG's 740. Score: 7.0/10.

MOTOR

The listing does not mention an inverter motor. The motor is covered for 10 years. Score: 6.0/10.

DRUM AND TUB

A stainless steel Crescent Moon drum with IFB's Triadic Pulsator, which combines scrubbing, punching and tumbling actions for oil and grease stains without being rough on fabric. Score: 8.5/10.

NOISE AND VIBRATION

No dB figure is published. Without an inverter motor, expect a little more noise than the LG and Samsung machines. Score: 6.5/10.

FEATURES

• •PowerSteam up to 60°C (IFB claims it removes 99.9% of germs, bacteria and allergens), an in-built heater, AI that detects fabric type and load weight, Aqua Energie hard-water treatment, ActivMix detergent pre-mixing, a lint tower filter, Auto Tub Clean, inbuilt wheels and touch controls. It works from 0.3 to 10 bar water pressure. No Wi-Fi. Score: 9.0/10.

WARRANTY

4 years comprehensive, 10 years on the motor and 10 years of spare-parts support, the best in this list along with the other IFBs. Score: 10.0/10.

THINGS TO CHECK BEFORE BUYING

When we checked, it was sold by a third-party seller ("AUTHORISED BRAND PRIME OFFERS"), not the usual Amazon seller, and Amazon showed "Only 2 left in stock". Check the seller name and that the IFB warranty applies before paying. The box has a 1.5 m inlet pipe and a 2 m drain hose. It is 54.3 cm wide, 57.5 cm deep and 94.6 cm tall.

HOW IT COMPARES AT THIS PRICE

The IFB TL801MG1 (₹19,490) has the same warranty and an 8 kg drum for ₹4,500 less, but no steam or heater. The Samsung WA40F08H2CTL (₹20,990) gives a 60°C Hygiene Steam cycle with an inverter motor and 8 kg for ₹3,000 less, but only a 2-year warranty.

VALUE FOR MONEY

You pay a premium for steam and the IFB warranty, and the third-party seller adds risk: 5.5/10.

VERDICT

The IFB TL751MS2S is the pick for steam washing with the longest warranty. Buy it if hygiene washes and 4 years of cover are your priorities, and check the seller first. If you can live without steam, the IFB TL801MG1 is better value.
