WHO IT'S FOR

CAPACITY

9 kg, second only to the Samsung 10 kg among the fully automatic machines here. LG notes that the maximum load depends on the program you choose. Score: 8.5/10.

WASH PROGRAMS

BEE 5-star, listed at 0.0074 kWh/kg/cycle and 13.1 L/kg/cycle, the best energy and water figures among all the top loaders in this list. LG claims up to 36% energy savings from the Smart Inverter. Using the heater will of course add to the bill. Score: 10.0/10.

740 RPM, the joint-fastest top-load spin here with the LG 8 kg. LG notes that the actual top speed can vary with the load. Score: 7.5/10.

A Smart Inverter motor with a 10-year warranty. LG describes it as waterproof, so it does not corrode, and says it reduces noise and vibration. Score: 9.0/10.

DRUM AND TUB

A stainless steel drum with LG's TurboDrum action and a Punch +3 pulsator, in a steel body with a black tempered glass soft-closing door. Unlike the LG 8 kg listing, this one does not mention "semi stainless". Score: 8.0/10.

HOW IT COMPARES AT THIS PRICE

The LG T80VBMB4Z (₹20,990) saves ₹3,000 and has a 4.1★ rating from many more buyers, but no heater and 1 kg less. The Samsung WA40F08H2CTL (₹20,990) also has a 60°C Hygiene Steam cycle and an inverter motor, but holds 8 kg and lists no energy figure.

VALUE FOR MONEY

The specs are excellent for ₹23,989, but the weak 3.5★ rating from a small number of buyers pulls the value score down: 4.5/10.

VERDICT

On paper, the LG T90VBMB1S is the most efficient top loader under ₹25,000, and the best LG with a heater. Buy it if you want hot-water washes for a big family and are comfortable with its mixed early reviews. Otherwise, the LG T80VBMB4Z is the safer pick.
